well technically you can get tattoos while pregnant…but if you’re asking how long until ur in good shape to get a tattoo, well that really depends on you and how much weight you lose, how much you work out and how well you eat. So if you set a goal at 4 months and make it to your target weight, then you should be all set!

  2. LC says:

I dont see why not. I had one on my lower back before getting pregnant and 2 kids later, it still looks the same. That skin wasn’t effected much. Now, that said, I got my tattoo when I was 18, and now wish I didnt have one at all. It’s so silly to permanently mark your body…I guess to each his own, but if you haven’t put much thought into it, I would think long and hard about it first.

  3. Quiet Desperation, Lost Reality says:

Are you breast feeding? Then after that to prevent disease going to the baby. It should take you 6 months to tighten back up otherwise.

  4. Tina says:

If you are breastfeeding, I would wait until you have finished that just in case you get an infection. I would also base it on when you are comfortable with your body again . . . if you are still carrying weight that you intend to lose at 4 months, you may want to wait longer as the tattoo could become distorted if you lose or gain weight.

if your back in shape i guess.. whoever put “you can technically egt tattooed while pregnant” NO respected tattoo artist will tattoo while pregnanrt

If your breast feeding I would wate untill you stop, But if your not then you don’t have to wate at all.

i want one to after my son is born! i would think 4 months is long enough it’s not like your getting plastic surgery it going on your skin so i think it is fine!
