yes that is extremely early i had a friend who’s baby started walkin at 8 months. don’t rush your baby, he/she will walk when they’re ready. my 3yr old didn’t start walkin until 16 months and my 21 month old until 14 months.

  2. Araminta Ditch says:

Yeah, seven months is early. My son began to walk at eleven months

  3. "i wear a halo" says:

i dont have kids..but that seems really young..my cousin didnt walk till she was 16 months old..which was really late…

  4. armywife_momof2 says:

Wow, that’s very early… All babies are different. My daughter walked at 13 months. She did everything late. My son is 5 months.. he seems to be doing everything early…. we’ll see about walking. =o)

  5. stylztk says:

lol.. my son started to crawl when he was 8 months old, he only crawled for 3 weeks and then he was walking.. but then one of my friends babies is only 6 months old and is crawling.. it just depends on the baby.. he’ll move when he’s ready and really suprise you one day!!

  6. Ivette says:

my first baby started to walk at 9 months ,and my second baby is now 9 months and, she stands for a couple of minutes on her own ,but still not walking…every baby is different ,they do things at different times, as long as they do it…it’s fine

  7. sammy's mammy says:

my firstborn walked at 8 months, I really hope my 6 month old baby does not take after his big brother!!!

  8. Meghann says:

Yes, that seems early to me, but each child will do things at their own pace. My son didn’t roll over until much later than the other babies we know and of course I worries, but then he did it just fine and walked around his first birthday. It’s hard not to gage progress by judging others but as long as your doctor says your baby is on track I’m sure there’s no problem. Congratulations on your 6 month old. How fun!

  9. azflower25 says:

I have 2 boys…my first didn’t walk completely on his own until he was 19 months (I know!) And my second right around his first birthday. Each child is their own person and will do things when they are ready.

  10. jeanette_8304 says:

it’s ok every baby is different.. most babies start walking after 12 months…

  11. jen says:

my little girl walked at 10 months and i always considered that to be early, another little girl at play group didn’t walk until 16months so it all just depends on the child.

  12. notacatapiller says:

My daughter didn’t crawl until around 7 or 8 months, but took her first steps on her first birthday. It was like she decided that she was a year old and needed to start walking.

  13. nadia29 says:

that is definately really early for a baby to start walking. every baby is different & they all start at different times. the average age for a baby to begin to walk is about 12 months.

  14. Jana Shana Duane says:

my husband olaf and i have a dotter loretta whos 7 n were guna half a nother soon. loretta starts walking when shes only10 month old.

  15. Riley and Elins Mommy says:

My first daughter started walking around 10 months. I thought she was pretty normal.

  16. DennyB says:

I was walking at 9 mths, my son was walking at 10 mths, crawling at 4 months!

But each child is different, if you have a crabby kid that likes to move around a lot, he/she will probably walk sooner, whereas some babies are content just hanging out on their tummies!

  17. LifeIsGrand says:

My kids walked at 10 months old but I’ve heard of a couple of babies who walked at 7 months old. There really isn’t any long term benefits to such early walking other than bragging about it for many years to come.
